Movies like Breakfast Club are timeless, truthfull, and the epitome of what good movies can be. I was so happy to see that tribute. Yellowcard did a fantastic rendition of the Simple Minds classic, and watching Anthony, Molly, and Ally watching the performance made me feel good inside... and it has been a long time since I have felt good inside. In an age where movies are being made at a rediculous pace and the quantity outshines the quality, it is nice to see respect being paid to great movies that have touched a lot of people's lives in a good way. But more recnetly last Christmas when I discovered The Breakfast Club. It is now my favourite film of all time, it just sums up School for me. First of all I never really noticed Ally's character in The Breakfast Club UNTIL recently. Sure I had seen the movie more times than I can even count, but I was always focused on Nelson's and Ringwald's character. The other night I was pulling an all nighter and the movie came on, so I watched it again(every time it comes on tv I must watch it) and as I do with movies I studied the characters and realized Sheedy's character was similiar to mine- almost anyway. I was a mixture of Sheedy's and Ringwald's combined. The point is the next day I rented the DVD and at the end it gave the films of all the actors in the movie. From that day on I have been seeking all Sheedy's movies. I have a list of every movie she's played in up to this day and have been checking them off one by one. And most of her movies I can relate some part of her character with myself. I just wanted to say that I am glad there is a ALLY SHEEDY site, I am a huge fan. I honestly must, say although it was an Independant film, High Art was one of the best roles I have ever seen. I seriously cry every time I watch that movie. The thought of losing the person you love... man, the thought is just scary. I must say, as a gay teen, I find it hard to find good movies that can make me cry without being overly sappy and overly sexual, but with High Art, I felt as though I could know the characters, which was a large part of your acting.
